Ingredients

  • 8 slices of toast bread
  • 1 pound 450g ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Onion rings
  • Olives optional
  • Ketchup and mustard for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, slightly larger than the size of your hamburger buns.
  • Place the hamburger patties on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. If you prefer, you can also cook the patties in a skillet on the stovetop.
  • While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the bread on the grill or in a toaster. Once the patties are cooked, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt slightly.
  • Assemble the hamburger toasts by placing a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice on the bottom half of each slice of toast toast. Add the cooked hamburger patty.
  • Garnish with raw onion rings, olives, radish or slices of apples.
  • Serve the hamburger toasts with ketchup and mustard on the side.
